Thank you, Vanessa, I was there for 7 weeks in 2014 during late Sept., October and early Nov. visiting the Huaraz area, Cusco, doing the Salkantay path to walk to Machu Picchu, then visiting Puno, Lake Titicaca , Arequipa, Paracas, Lima, and Iquitos. I’d recommend reading from a variety of sources about the places you plan to visit and be aware that some people do have trouble with the altitude. I acclimated after a week at high altitude but suffered through one terrible hike that was too high too soon and I had trouble sleeping the first 5 weeks which were all at high altitude. I was traveling with my son and he had no problems . If you search under South America Explorers Club you can find on line info that may be helpful. I loved Peru and was so glad I went but found it a challenging trip since my Spanish is not great and finding food I liked in some places was difficult plus it is advised to not drink the water so everywhere you need to get bottled water -drinks. Hope you have a great time there.
