Wow, Tom! That looks like a rare Precambrian Medusoid fossil on that stone. You may live in an area with good fossil opportunities! I collect fossils.
Great thanks, Tom! Yes , the area where I live is a region rich with fossils and the most prominent one in this stone is a cross section of a crinoid I believe. Most of the fossils in our sedimentary rock layers are brachiopods and other little shelled creatures that lived in shallow seas that covered the upstate New York Finger Lakes region where I am. I have casually collected some but mostly leave them in place as I did with this one.
