Thanks Tom, This deer is one I have known since 2018 , she is the local deer family matriarch and I took this photo of her in our back lot , my first time seeing her since Saturday night when Ithaca College had end of semester fireworks. Bessie has a deep divot wound on her left hind haunch and I have wondered if the fireworks caused her to panic and possibly run wildly and got snagged or stabbed by a broken branch.
